    2. Would eliminating the electoral college lead to the complete disregard of flyover states in presidential elections?

    3. Should we completely change the way we elect the president? Would it be better to have the president be elected by the Senate and House from one of their own?

  2. Since the people do not choose who is President, do you think he is addressing the issues that are really important to us?

If the President was elected by the voters, do you think the voters would be more understanding if the President didn’t live up to expectations since they were the ones who elected him?

Do you think more people would vote if they knew their vote directly affected the outcome?

  8. 1- There have been four elections in the U.S. history, most recently in 2000, when the candidate who won the presidency received fewer votes than his opponent. Do you think that in an era of close elections, the electoral system risks misrepresenting the will of the people, and a direct election would solve this problem?
2- Do you think that people who don’t have high education system provided by the government are a trend for direct elections, and Electoral College system? If yes, how do you think we should consider their vote, because they are the ones with the most need?
3- In the U.S. system, it is not required for the citizens to vote. Do you think that we should consider everybody to vote, if we had a direct election?

4- Do you think that with direct election, would have a possibility of new parties raising up?

    2. What do you think of the argument Shafer makes that from 1888 to 2000 the electoral college did nothing but confirm the popular vote winner as president? It seems like it would be a good argument for both sides to make, so what is your take on it?

    3. If we were to see more third party candidates emerge, would the electoral college hinder than more than the people directly voting for the president would? Are third party candidates a good reason to suspend the electoral college?
